Welcome to Mercer County Nursing Home. Our 92 bed skilled nursing facility is located 30 minutes south of the Quad Cities and 30 minutes north of Galesburg. Our facility has been an integral part of the Aledo community since 1971. It is the only nursing facility in the area awarded a 5 Star rating from Medicare.
Nursing home placement is one of the most difficult decisions a family will face. Families should take the time to research a facility’s survey history, staffing ratios to residents and reputation prior to placing their loved one in a nursing home. Mercer County Nursing Home strives to make this transition as easy as possible for both you and your loved one. We recommend that you come out and visit our facility, talk to residents and staff and see the many amenities we have to offer. Our goal is to make your transition from home to our facility as easy and comfortable as possible.
Mr. Roger Brannan became Mercer County Nursing Home’s Administrator in August of 2009. Mr. Brannan comes to our facility with 19 years of nursing home administrative experience. He is licensed in both Illinois and Indiana. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Western Illinois University in Macomb and his master’s degree in health care administration at the College of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. He grew up in his home town of Knoxville, IL.
In his down time Mr. Brannan enjoys fishing, hunting, dining out, and visiting his twin sons Shane and Shaun.
