How to Choose a Nursing Home

We believe that the best way to choose a nursing home for yourself or your loved one is to personally take a tour of the facility.  While visiting, you are encouraged to view our activity program, enjoy a complementary meal, chat with our staff members, or to ask questions of a resident and their loved one about the care received at Mercer County Nursing Home.

Prior to your tour, we encourage you to make a list of what is important to you and bring the list when you are touring our facility.  This will help you prioritize what is essential to you and ensure that our facility matches those needs and expectations for you and your loved one.  This will also assist our staff in sharing those personalized touches for which Mercer County Nursing Home is known.

Our List

Mercer County Nursing Home does have a list of people who desire placement within our facility. We request that all prospective residents complete a simple application process.  By submitting an application, you are letting the facility know you are interested in placement at Mercer County Nursing Home should the need for care arise.

Our Admission Process

The admission process can be overwhelming and we are available to help prepare you and your loved one for a smooth transition into the facility.  Our Social Services Department will arrange a time to meet with you to discuss the admission process; review the prospective resident care needs to ensure that we are able to meet those needs, and to answer any questions you may have.  Typical areas that we will assess are current care needs, medication, dietary concerns, and social needs.  Once everyone has determined that an admission will take place, we will provide you will a checklist that will ease the transition to the nursing home.  As always, we are involved in the process from the beginning to answer any questions or concerns that may arise.

Our Rates

Semi-private or 4 bed room: $125.00 per day

Private room with no bath:   $130.00 per day

Private room with bath:

$136.00 per day

Garden Suite:

$146.00 per day.
